                                                                    first impression of the brrrrrreezy city. We sure got a cold, cold welcome....:-}


                                                                    Embarking on a thoroughly enjoyable sightseeing tour via the BBC- The Big Bus Company tour........


                                                                    The true history of the
                                                                    London Bridge. Had I been asked a question about it in KBC, I would have definitely made a fool of myself in front of the Big B. Thank God I went there and found out ;-}


                                                                    With a lot of time to kill, we decided to visit the place where there was nothing but time. And this time we were amazed to find some really interesting facts about the
                                                                    Discovery of Time !!


                                                                    To go to London and not visit the place where the Bard was born.....UNTHINKABLE!! Especially to a student of English literature. It's almost like going to Switzerland and not visiting the Alps. This blog enfolds our thrilling experience at
                                                                    Stratford Upon Avon.  


                                                                    Even though my husband works for the Railways, this was the kind of ride I would never have had in India. Who knows, in future this might be possible, but till today I can only marvel at the technology of
                                                                    The Dockland Light Railway. 


                                                                    The excitement at the
                                                                    Madame Tussauds Museum. It was almost like we had bought a ticket for a ride in the time machine. I mean, where else would you get to meet the Beatles, Picasso, Napolean, Gandhiji, Einstein and Amitabh Bachchan? So what if they were made of wax...:-}


                                                                    In continuation of our trip. This was when we left London to go to Sweden. Must say it was truly 
                                                                    A Scandinavian delight!! Hopefully I'll have to go there again some day. After all, I can't receive the Nobel Prize in India now, can I ...:-}


                                                                    And our final destination- a trip to the land of the
                                                                    Gay Paree.....!! What can I say? I'll let the blog speak for itself...!


                                                                    This was a poem I wrote when we went to
                                                                    Prague and took a walking tour across the city. Although the city was spectacular, the experience was kind of eerie..... 

                                                                    A blog written when we went for the
                                                                    World Railway Games Cyclingevent that took place in the Czech Republic in small village called Usti Nad Labem. More than a travelogue, it deals with the unfair treatment meted out to our sports persons.

                                                                    Dubai International Airport. I bet not many would have had this kind of a crazy experience. Read on to find out how I became a damsel in distress....


                                                                    When we made a trip to Charlottesville, to attend the
                                                                    Graduation Ceremony of my son. He passed out from the Darden Business School from the University of Virginia. 


                                                                    A visit to my nephew's place in Hartford, where he very graciously took us to
                                                                    Mark Twain's house. Pity Mark wasn't there to welcome us....:-}


                                                                    In
                                                                    Washington DC, where we visited most of the memorials that honour their heroes. Wish we Indians also looked upto our heroes.


                                                                    Our visit to Seattle where my son took us to where he works and where we finally got to have a sneak peek at what lay beyond the
