When Daddy died, for almost a decade Mummy and all his children were devastated. We thought the void that his death had created could never be filled. After ten long years I finally decided to wrap up all our fragrant memories into a 'Bouquet'.
After the book was released and the 'Bouquet' was presented to the world, not only did Daddy become immortal in the pages of time but our mourning also finally turned into a celebration!
I'd like to describe my second novel as a moral fable set in morally ambiguous times.
I have always had my doubts as to whether the individual should always be subservient and the society paramount or vice versa. But since we are all social animals I guess a healthy balance should always be maintained.
But I also feel I ought to bring to the fore the evolving truths of our changing world- especially one regarding one of the most sacred institutions of our times- marriage. The new task of rebuilding our ethical erosion, lies undoubtedly in the hands of people who do not believe in reducing morality, ethics and integrity to mere Victorian words.
Moreover, sometimes each action of ours affects a hundred or more people downstream. I have often heard and witnessed the wierd and emotional performances of life being enacted all around us. At such times I feel the need to remove myself from the daily lived reality and divert my thoughts to this unique direction.
Apart from writing non-fiction, to create better art, I knew that I had to experiment with a marriage of demonstrative drama and a tiny bit of mystery. All this and much more led me to write my second book- The Virgin Adulteress.
